Georgetown is a centre for cycling and walking, with the Heysen Trail winding down through Bundaleer onto the plain into Georgetown, before heading west to Crystal Brook. The Mawson Trail passes just east of the town.
In Georgetown itself there is a beautiful Memorial Playground, sheltered BBQ and a display of locally manufactured farm machinery.
The 1912 General Store serves excellent coffee and provides local information, which can also be found at the Georgetown Heritage Society, who will open their archives of historic photos and documents by appointment.
