Named after the Hallett brothers who selected the Willogoleeche run between Hallett and Burra in 1842, Hallett was once a railway town, serving the needs of the local farmers.
With only a small population, Hallett is still a thriving town with a strong local community. In addition to the bowling and golf clubs, there are also tennis courts, a new playground and a swimming pool.
Leaflets for the Hallett Historical Walk and the Dare's Hill Circuit Tour east through the hills and back south to Terowie can be found in the Hallett Mini Store.
